Food Drives

I am taking a class with Acumen/IDEO.org on using Human Centered Design. I will talk more about what I learn later.

I couldn’t help but think about neighborhood garage sales where you put out all that you want to sell…but instead this will be a neighborhood food drive, where you leave your canned goods out and a non profit volunteer can just pick up all the donation. Perhaps this came from recently selling popcorn from Cub Scout…

The idea is one of community coming together and donating goods. Usually if you have to think about gathering cans for a food drive, you then need go run to the donation center…which tend to decrease the likelihood of a donation happening because we are all so busy…and traffic.

Here are my door tags to remind people to leave canned goods…one side. The backside side has details of what kind of canned goods and non-perishables can be collected.
